2002 Whitbread Book of the Year

Note:
The Winner of the Whitbread Children's Book Award will also be eligible for the Whitbread Book of the Year.  It will be one of five books on the shortlist for the £25,000 Book of the Year prize alongside the category Award winners for Novel, First Novel, Biography and Poetry (each worth £5,000).
